Diabetes and metabolic complications among patients with HIV and AIDS

Abstract: HIV infection, as well as its treatment with highly active retroviral therapy (HAART), is associated with a number of metabolic abnormalities such as insulin resistance, glucose intolerance and dyslipidaemia.
