Diagnosis and Management of Infections Involving Implantable Electrophysiologic Cardiac Devices

Abstract: For infections related to implantable electrophysiologic devices, complete device removal and antimicrobial therapy allow timely, successful reimplantation at a remote anatomic site without substantial risk for operative mortality or recurrent infection.
