Abstract:A 55-year-old Saudi Arabian female presented with a 3-year history of progressive dyspnea on exertion and paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea. Examination showed a mitral systolic and diastolic murmur. A clinical diagnosis of left atrial myxoma was established by noninvasive as well as invasive investigations. A tumor measuring 5 x 3 cm was removed and the diagnosis was confirmed by histology.
