Abstract:In recent years, Uruguay has seen the need to address its coastal management due to a series of socio-environmental problems derived from the lack of action to protect its coastal areas. The impacts derived from unregulated activities led to the recent creation of an adaptation plan for its coasts whose application is relatively recent. This article analyzes Uruguay’s performance in the marine-coastal area.
