Diagnosis of Lynch syndrome before colorectal resection: does it matter?

Abstract: Lynch syndrome (LS), also known as hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC), is an autosomal dominant genetic condition which predisposes patients to several different types of cancer, most notably colorectal cancer [1].
