Abstract: Background: Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is associated with pulmonary vascular dysfunction, particularly during exercise. Pulmonary vasodilators may favorably reduce pulmonary artery (PA) tone in HFpEF, but this could theoretically worsen left atrial hypertension and pulmonary congestion.
