Abstract:Introduction: Early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma is essential to provide effective therapy to high-risk patients, including patients with viral cirrhosis (eg HBV, HCV), haemochromatosis, alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency or alcohol users.
