Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy: An Overview

Abstract: As surgical and interventional techniques are becoming progressively less invasive, the role of endoscopic practices is evolving. Upper and lower endoscopy can be employed for diagnostic purposes, screening and surveillance practices, and for therapeutic interventions. The most frequently applied different indications, tools, and techniques for the various uses of endoscopy will be discussed.
