Abstract:Mesenchymal prostate tumours are relatively rare compared to epithelial tumours. To diagnose mesenchymal tumours on transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) specimen, doctors have to consider a few differential diagnoses, including gastrointestinal stromal tumour (GISTs).
