Abstract:Xanthogranulomatous oophoritis is a rare, peculiar, non-neoplastic, chronic inflammatory pathology that can mimic ovarian mass. Affected organ shows replacement of normal tissue with foamy histiocytes, multinucleate giant cells, neutrophils, fibroblasts, plasma cells and areas of necrosis within.
