Diagnostic tests of vertical pumps modernized pump stations

Abstract: The article discusses the methods of maintenance and technical diagnostics of large vertical pumping units of modernized pumping stations of the largest cascades of the Amu-Bukhara and Karshi channels to ensure reliability during their operation, assesses the qualitative and quantitative changes in their modes. The operation of large pumping stations poses a number of problems that cannot be solved without experimental studies. The aim of the research is the problem of comprehensive diagnostics of pumping unit… Show more

“…Therefore, to implement the tasks of preventing the occurrence of vibration of pumping units, it is necessary to use the created original (at the level of inventions) designs at pumping stations with a lower flow of driftwood, suspended and bottom sediments, to identify and eliminate the causes of excess energy consumption due to unfavorable E3S Web of Conferences 365, 03021 (2023) https://doi.org/10.1051/e3sconf/202336503021 CONMECHYDRO -2022 operating modes of the pumping station. Optimal forms of pump inlets are created based on ensuring maximum efficiency values, minimum permissible cavitation reserves, and low levels of dynamic perturbing effects of the flow with minimum dimensions of the inlets in plan and height, taking into account special operational requirements [22,23].…”

“…In front of, there is an external force that in certain phases of rotation will press the shaft against the bearing shell or unload the bearing at least for a fraction of the time, causing a violation of the "oil wedge". The wear rate of bearings depends on the size of the additional defect and increases in the presence of abrasive in the lubricant [10,11].…”

“…In the practice of operating the OP10-260 pumps (which are the head samples of the largest pumps), there were no such precedents; therefore, the task of creating a diagnostic system was divided into the 1st and 2nd stages similarly [12].…”

“…Jet pumps are really very simple in design, reliable in operation and can pump contaminated liquids. But for all that, they have one significant disadvantage -very low efficiency, incomparable with the efficiency of vane pumps [7,8,9,10]. Despite numerous studies of working processes [11,12,13,14,15], improvement of designs and calculation methods [16,17,18], improvement of operating modes and regulation [4,8,19], it was not possible to significantly increase the efficiency of water jet pumps.…”
