Abstract:Epstein‐Barr virus‐positive mucocutaneous ulcer (EBVMCU) is a newly established immunodeficiency‐related disease. Herein, we report a case of EBVMCU and focus on its cytological usefulness for diagnosis. An 82‐year‐old man manifested pharyngalgia, dysphagia, and oral pain.
