Abstract:Background: Ascites, the accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal cavity, poses significant diagnostic challenges, particularly in differentiating between malignancy-related ascites (MRA) and non-malignant ascites (NMA). This differentiation is critical for appropriate clinical management.
