Diagnostic value of cytokeratin 19, HBME-1, and galectin-3 immunostaining of cell block from fine-needle aspiration specimens in papillary carcinoma of the thyroid

Abstract: In ARIMA modeling studies, the selection of a best model fit to historical data is directly related to whether residual analysis is performed well. Therefore, diagnostic checks including the independence, normality and homoscedasticity of residuals is the most important stage of ARIMA model building. This study is concerned with testing residuals from ARIMA models for monthly streamflow data from the Ç ekerek Stream watershed. Alternative tests including the Ljung-Box Q statistic, runs test and turning point t… Show more

“…However, thyroid tissue fragments were observed only in the cell block sections similar to the corresponding tissue sections, tissue architecture was apparent in the fragmented tissue section only. [24] In some studies Cell block did not help in the majority of thyroid lesions. In one study, they were contributory in only 25 (31%) of the 82 cases, and of the 23 neoplastic cases, only 5 (22%) CBs were contributory.…”

“…Residual wax was removed by transfer of sections to the next jar. 1,2,8,9 Hydration: After xylol the sections were passed through graded alcohols. First the sections were kept in absolute alcohol for one minute and then transferred to 90% alcohol for one-minute and last of all in 70% alcohol for the same time.…”

“…Neoplastic alteration may occur in these hyperplastic places which are very tiny and can be missed by pathologists in slides stained with routine methods. 2 The incidence of thyroid carcinoma has increased in re-cent years due to improvement in diagnostic techniques, e.g. an increase in fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) and radiology procedures like ultrasound, computed tomography (CT)-scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).…”
