Abstract: Background Pneumonia is consistently among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Defined as acute infection of the lung parenchyma, it is caused by a wide variety of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi. However, pneumonia is often misdiagnosed even now.
