IntroductionLipid-rich carcinomas of the mammary gland present specific diagnostic and therapeutic challenges as illustrated in this case report.
Case ReportThree years after an unremarkable previous study, cranio-caudal mammographic views in a 55-year-old woman revealed a relatively superficial, bean-sized, clearly demarcated lesion between the upper quadrants of the left breast. The lesion was not clearly seen on medio-lateral views and had initially not been palpated.

Only 50 cases are reported in the literature, including 1 in a male, 1 in a child and 48 in women.
