“…Traumatic fat embolism is reported (Landois, 1926) to be rare in children below the age of 10 years although it hasbeen described (Carty, 1957), even in the newborn (Nicod, 1938). I have found severe (grade 3) pulmonary fat embolism in a 2-year-old boy who died seven hours after sustaining a fractured skull and extensive soft tissue contusions.…”
