s t e r o t h ' "Nach dem ALFA-LAVAL-ProzeD wird unmittelbar eine ca. 75"/oige Grundseife erzeugt und in einer na&ges&alteten Expansionstrodtnungsanlage in einer Stufe zu fertiger Grundseife getrodtnet. Manufacture of Highly Concentrated Soap by ALFA-LAVAL- ProcessSoap base in a concentration of approximately 750/0 is obtained by the ALFA-LAVAL-process. The soap is dried to a finished product in an adjoining drying plant.

“…The objective is to carry out the neutralization with minimum amounts of water by using high concentration caustic soda solution (50%) and finishing with 86% anhydrous soap; thus eliminating the drying step. A design incorporating this principle has been developed by Alfa-Laval and has been installed in the Dynamit Nobel AG plant at Witten, West Germany (described by Osteroth [7] ).
