EinleitungVor 15 Jahren haben wir eine Tab. der zehn theoretisch moglichen Di-isoprenketten aufgestellt z). Wenn man als wichtiges Kriterium des Terpencharakters einer Verbindung ihre Cyclisationsfahigkeit betrachtet, SO kann man von den zehn Ketten nur die nachstehenden, mit I, 11, I11 und IV bezeichneten, als eigentlich terpenartig bezeichnen, da nur solche Diene zum Ringschluss geeignet sind, welche am einen Kettenende eine geminale Dimethylgruppe aufweisen 3).
