Die Myokard-Szintigraphie mit Thallium-201 als nicht-invasive Methode

Abstract: 201Tl scanning demonstrated viable myocardium in the area supplied by the anterior interventricular branch (on frontal scanning) and viable myocardium in the interventricular septum and left ventricular lateral wall (scanning in the second oblique position) in 9 of 11 patients. Akinetic myocardial segments in the left ventricular anterior wall and left ventricular apex could be recognized by absent activity when scanning from in front. But hypokinetic segments, which contrary to the appearance with akinesia ca… Show more

“…The minimum 2~ uptake in the LV anterior wall was obtained by computerized determination of lowest radioactivity in terms of per cent of maximum (= 100 %) (7)(8)(9). The number of addresses included, the number of total counts included and as the mean countrate were calculated by the computer.…”

“…Recent developments of new techniques employing radioactive isotopes in the evaluation of cardiac function suggest that information, previously available only at cardiac catheterisation, can now be obtained non-invasively (Hurley et al, 1971;Gorton, 1972;Pachinger et al, 1973;Zaret et al, 1973;Felix et al, 1975;Feller and Sodd, 1975;Lebowitz et al, 1975;Strauss et al, 1975;Wackers et al, 1975;Bull et al, 1976). Radionuclide imaging still requires further assessment and verification before being accepted as an effective means of delineating the extent of myocardial disease and the level of cardiac chamber performance in patients with ischaemic heart disease.…”
