Abstract: Clinical studies showed a lower blood flow in renal und uterine vessels in gestotic pregnancies. A comparison was therefore made between three maternal vessels (uterine, renal und thyroideal vessels) in normal and gestotic pregnant and non-pregnant women to show if the higher vessel resistance in gestotic pregnancies is a local or systemic event.
