Die Ursachen des akuten Nierenversagens nach Herz-Lungen-Maschinen-Operationen

Abstract: Zusammenfassung 1. Die maximalen Harnstoffwerte i. S. schwankten zwischen 86 und 450 mg%.3. Von 43 Patienten wurden 31 dialysiert, von diesen 31 sta… Show more

“…Altogether, the occurrence of pathologic CH 2 O values proved to be the earliest, most frequent and most reliable criterion for the recognition of ARF following cardiac surgery with cardiac-pulmonary bypass. Key-Words: Acute renal failure -Cardiac surgery -Cardiopulmonary bypass -Free water clearance Table 1 Acute renal failure (ARF) following cardiac surgery Acute renal failure (ARF) following cardiac surgery, although a rare event, has a high mortality rate (Table 1) (4,6,7,9,12,13,17,18,20). In order to reduce its frequency it is necessary to establish the diagnosis as early as possible.…”

“…Early criteria for recognition should therefore focus on pilot alterations typical of renal failure. Criteria for diagnosis reported in the literature are, however, not uniform (Table 2) (1,4,6,9,12,19). They include slight to large increases of serum urea and creatinine concentrations, oliguria, hyperkalemia, and, rarely, hypothenuria.…”
