“…With the rapid development of microelectronics technology, a dielectric material with colossal permittivity (CP, ε r ≥10 3 ) has been given lots of attention . Recently, a large number of new CP materials (ε r >10 3 , f =10 3 Hz and room temperature) have been discovered , such as BaTiO 3 , CaCu 3 Ti 4 O 12 (CCTO) , NiO , SrTiO 3 , (Pb,La)TiO 3 as well as the related compounds. Unfortunately, higher tan δ values of these materials still limited their practical applications.…”

“…The permittivity is reduced because the rattling of Ti 4+ cations is restrained, and an excellent microwave dielectric property is achieved. In addition, Dy 3+ doped SrTiO 3 were prepared by Shen et al 336 Only cubic perovskite structure was detected for all Dy 3+ :SrTiO 3 ceramics. Both high breakdown strength (E b > 150 kV/cm) and permittivity (ε r = 3300 at 1 kHz) were obtained in the Sr 0.98 Dy 0.02 Ti 0.995 O 3 .…”

“…--------------------0 The material dispersion M(λ) could be expressed in terms of the refractive index, n, as: (10) Differentiating Eq. (8) w.r.t λ yields the material's dispersion as a function of Ē0 and Ēd as follows [26] : (11) Figure 8 shows the graphical relation of the calculated M(λ) versus wavelength. The wavelength at which M = 0, and the obtained results are given in Table 2 as a function of films composition.…”

“…It should be noted that the low phonon energy of a-Se decreases the multi phonon relaxation which enables an active transition between rare-earth atom levels in the middle IR spectral region. Consequently, the exploration of the optical properties of doped a-Se with Dy ions is very important to improve the performance of Laser emission [11] .…”
