Dielectric properties of BaTiO3/epoxy composites by lamination process for embedded capacitor application

Abstract: Because of the fabricability of polymer and excellent dielectric properties of ceramics, ceramic-polymer composites have been investigated widely for embedded capacitors which can improve electric performance greatly. In order to obtain further application of composite, the embedded capacitors with three-layer sandwich structure containing the BaTiO 3 /epoxy composites as dielectric layer and copper foil as electrodes were fabricated. The dielectric properties are improved by preventing the defect in dielectri… Show more

“…In addition, the dielectric constant of BaTiO3 reaches a maximum value when the particle size is between 0.8 and 1 micron, which is very important for fabricating multilayer capacitors. [5] The decrease of grain size reduces the compactness of BaTiO3 particles and lowers their dielectric constant. [68] 3.…”

“…But there are no reports about the dielectric constant and electric conductivity of HDPE with binary BaTiO 3 particle system. In literature, many models were used to predict the dielectric constant of 0–3‐type dielectric composites at different volume fraction of fillers . The prediction accuracy of dielectric constant is influenced by the test frequency .…”

“…In literature, many models were used to predict the dielectric constant of 0-3-type dielectric composites at different volume fraction of fillers. [16][17][18] The prediction accuracy of dielectric constant is influenced by the test frequency. 12 Thereby, in this study, three kinds of binary BaTiO 3 particle system were selected: 1600 nm/200 nm, 1600 nm/400 nm, and 400 nm/200 nm.…”
