Infrared absorptions in the hydroxyl stretching range and static dielectric constants have been determined for solutions of 2,2,4‐trimethyl‐3‐pentanol, 2,4‐dimethyl‐3‐enthyl‐3‐pentanol and 2,2,4,4‐tetramethyl‐3‐isopropyl‐3‐pentanol in carbon tetrachloride at several temperatures. – The results are interpreted with a monomer‐dimer‐tetramer equilibrium for the first two alcohols and with a monomer‐dimer equilibrium for the last one, and the relevant parameters are given.
