Abstract: Cholecystectomy is commonly performed to address gallstone diseases, including the development of gallstones, which can lead to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Bile acids (BAs) produced by the liver are primarily stored and concentrated in the gallbladder (GB).
