Linoleic acid (Cls H3 2 O2) inhibits the deposition of certain other fats in the body and has been shown to reduce cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood (Bassett et al 1969;Keys 1967;Lunn et al 1974;Ogawa 1969;Shorland, et al 1969).
