“…Whereas the Mexican dietary patterns include 17 : ‘Westernized’ (high intake of refined cereals, snacks, desserts, sweets and sugar, pastries, soda), high animal fat and protein (eggs, poultry, red meats, sausages, and alcohol), and ‘prudent’ (high consumption of vegetables, legumes, nuts and seeds, fruits and whole grains).
