Abstract:Prevention of prostate cancer through the use of dietary supplements is an attractive proposition for patients and doctors. Many patients already turn to supplements, but doctors are not sure what to say when asked for an opinion on their potential benefits. In this article, the authors take a critical look at the evidence for supplements in prostate cancer and find that, in general, the evidence is wanting.
