“…The clustering results showed that 14 phyla, 21 classes, 38 orders, 59 families, 135 genera, and 166 species belonging to bacteria were identified in the ruminal fluid samples. By comparing the microbial community composition of the rumen at the phylum level, it can be found that Bacteroidota, Firmicutes , and Proteobacteria occupy the absolute dominant position, which is consistent with the research results of other scholars ( 59 ). The only difference is that in this experiment, Bacteroidota accounted for a larger proportion and showed a quadratic increase, while Firmicutes showed a quadratic decrease trend, and there was a negative correlation between the abundance of Bacteroidota and Firmicutes ( 60 ).…”

“…Based on the results of taxonomic annotation and relative abundance, R (v3.6.0) software was used for bar-plot diagram analysis. The principal coordinate analysis (PCoA) and nonmetric multidimensional scaling analysis (NMDS) were performed based on Bray-Curtis distance by QIIME1 (V1.8.0) and R packages vegan (v3.6.0) software ( Ran et al, 2021 ). The raw sequencing data of this study were available in the NCBI SRA database with the BioProject ID of PRJNA791506.…”

“…Based on the lower Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes ratio in the SB group in this study, the addition of bagasse with higher lignin content stimulated the growth of lignin degradation-related flora in the rumen. Ran et al (2021) demonstrated that replacing maize silage with sorghum silage with higher NDF and ADL contents significantly increased the abundance of Kiritimatiellaeota in the rumen. This result aligns with that of the present study, which showed that sugarcane bagasse with higher NDF and ADL contents significantly increased the abundance of Kiritimatiellaeota in the rumen of Simmental crossbred cattle.…”
