“…Denser foliage cover and branching patterns in Calophyllaceae species ( Mesua ferrea ) also functioned as more significant thermal radiation filters than foliage and branching patterns in Euphorbiaceae species ( Shahidan et al, 2010 ). In mahogany (Meliaceae family) plantations, the soil temperature was higher, but the relative humidity was lower than in secondary forests ( Lee et al, 2006 ; Norton et al, 2015 ).
