Abstract: More than 50% of agricultural land is threatened by water erosion (and approximately 10% by wind erosion) in the Czech Republic; also, 5-10% of forest soils are damaged by water erosion etc. For example, healthy forests usually protect soils from erosion; the network of forest roads, including skid trails, was shown to alter hydrological processes and cause soil erosion by water (Zemke 2016).
