Differential Activation of Neuroinflammatory Pathways in Children with Seizures: A Cross-Sectional Study

Abstract: Background Experimental and clinical findings suggest a crucial role of inflammation in epileptogenesis. We aimed to analyze levels of inflammatory cytokines in plasma and saliva from children with acute seizures and healthy controls and measure their associations with HHV6 and EBV infection.
