Abstract: Introduction: Genomic alterations in key genes such as tumour suppressor genes have been reported to contribute to human cancers like breast cancer. Loss of E-cadherin (CDH1) mediated adhesion characterises the transition from benign lesions to invasive, metastatic cancer.
