Abstract:BACKGROUND: Patients with ovarian carcinoma demonstrate different sensitivity to chemotherapy; therefore, to increase the effectiveness of treatment, it is necessary to take into account the characteristics of each patient's tumor, including the histological subtype.
AIM: To search for new molecular markers of ovarian cancer by analyzing the expression of candidate genes, including BAX, SLC34A2, MUC16, CD300A, and XKR8, in ovarian carcinomas of different histological subtypes.
