Differential use of habitat aids local coexistence of three species of wrens (Maluridae) and the White-browed ScrubwrenSericornis frontalis: Pardalotidae in Myall Lakes National Park

Abstract: Four species of small insectivorous birds, the Superb Fairy-wren Malurus cyaneus, Variegated Fairy-wren M. lamberti, Southern Emu-wren Stipiturus malachurus and White-browed Scrubwren Sericornis frontalis have similar foraging methods which has often led to them being grouped into the same foraging guild. These four species occur in sympatry at Myall Lakes National Park, 300 km north of Sydney.
