Diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma

Abstract: New bithiophene–bithiazole alternating copolymers with thiophene side chains at the bithiazole unit have been prepared. The copolymers show a strong tendency to self‐assemble and align on the surface of substrates, similarly to related copolymers with alkyl side chains at the bithiazole unit.

“…Genetically, translocations affecting the IRF4 locus in 6p25 have recently observed in a subtype of germinal center-derived B-cell lymphomas frequently manifesting in the cervical region including the WR and particularly affecting children and young adults [11]. Several clinical comparative studies of nodal versus WR DLBCLs have variably suggested differences in response to therapy and outcome, or similar features [9,[12][13][14]. However, published series are based on rather limited cohorts of patients, oftentimes heterogeneous with respect to histopathology, and rarely correlated clinical and pathologic features [9,[14][15][16][17][18][19][20].…”

“…In another study, Qi et al. evaluated the clinical characteristics and outcomes of 80 patients with WR‐DLBCL and 101 patients with LN‐DLBCL, all were treated with CHOP and 21% received additional rituximab; clinical stage I/II was found in 86% and 71% of WR‐DLBCL and LN‐DLBCL of patients, respectively 13 . The authors showed that patients diagnosed with WR‐DLBCL and LN‐DLBCL had 5‐year OS rates of 76% and 56%, respectively ( p = 0.119) 13 .…”

“…In the aforementioned reports, 12–18 when comparing with patients with nodal DLBCL, those with WR‐DLBCL had better or similar outcomes. However, comparisons of clinical outcomes between patients with SN‐DLBCL and nodal DLBCL have rarely been reported 12–18 …”
