Armstrong and Butcher (2018) analysis twitter content of 151 Nigerian NGOs, and found out that NGOs mostly perform single-way communication on social media, those posts are informative yet with low interactivity, and become less effective in furthering relationships between the organizations and their recipients. Some people may be reluctant in using social media due to privacy concerns of digital footprint; while this may be less a concern for those who live in regions with vibrant democratic civil society.…”
