Digital simulation of physical processes in vehicles engine power units

Abstract: This article studies the issues of digital simulation of physical operating processes in vehicles transmission. Simulation of dynamic processes is carried out in power transmissions at the design stage. The procedure for using the digital packages such as MATLab – Simulink and Simscape was considered for the numerical simulation of dynamic processes in mechanical systems based on the example of the theoretical calculation of K-744 tractor transmission dynamics. A digital model of K-744 tractor transmission is … Show more

“…The torque is transmitted from the output of the module to the front and rear axles of the tractor. The SS model of the gearbox subsystem is considered in [21], showing the kinematic scheme of the gearbox, the order of gear shifting using friction devices, the elements included, and the gears engaged. The gear properties of the subsystem are modelled using standard Simple Gear blocks.…”

“…The kinematic diagram of a mechanical self-regulated continuously variable transmission, consisting of drive shaft with a crank 1, connecting rod 2, rocker arms 3, torsion shaft 4, FWC 5, output gear 6, driven shaft 7 and a flywheel 8 is shown on fig.2 [12,13]. The external characteristic of transmission in relative coordinates is shown in Fig.…”

“…To eliminate this disadvantage and use an ASD variator in regenerative drives, the transmission is supplemented by elastic linkage, for example, a torsion shaft, which allows to carry out automatic torque transformation with a constant amplitude of oscillations of the driving unit of the freewheel clutch by changing the torsion bar twist angle, providing an automatic increase in torque (decrease in the speed of the driven shaft) with an increase in load and, conversely, a smooth decrease in torque (increase in the rotation speed of the output shaft) with a decrease in load [1,2]. Fig.…”
