As the application of artificial intelligence (AI) becomes more prevalent, it has attracted the attention of high-tech firms, which adopt AI applications in response to emerging societal, technological, and environmental challenges. In the AI application processes, big data analytical capacity has become increasingly important. Although AI may potentially revolutionise the markets, industries, and general business activities, the question remains how high-tech firms can implement AI in their operations effectively and efficiently, so as to enhance their operational performances. This study aims to explore whether high-tech firm employees’ intention to adopt AI applications and the firms’ big data analytical capability would affect the operational performance. Besides utilising the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology as a framework, this study also adopted the structural equation modelling (SEM) and related statistical analyses (using SPSS and LISREL). The results show that employees’ intention to adopt AI applications is positively related to integration capability and team collaboration, and big data analytical capability is positively related to integration capability but not to team collaboration. Moreover, both integration capability and team collaboration are positively correlated with operational performance. Sobel t test was employed to test the mediating effect, and found that integration capability is a significant mediator in the influence of big data analytical capability on operational performance. Employees’ intention to adopt AI applications and big data analytical capability can effectively enhance the goals associated with achieving high operational performances.

Supply chain resilience (SCR) is crucial for organizational sustainability and growth. This paper explores the factors of digitalization in the banking sector for achieving resilience in the e-commerce service supply chain. Most previous researchers have explored supply chain resilience in e-commerce using structural equation modeling. This study identifies and evaluates the crucial factors of digital banking that improve resilience in the e-commerce service supply chain using the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) and Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) technique. A conceptual framework is created based on the literature review and technology adoption theory. The framework comprises the critical digital technology adoption factors for the resilient service supply chain in Pakistan’s e-commerce sector. The results show that the most critical driving factors are “ performance expectancy (F15) ,” “ e-cost effectiveness (F5) ,” and “ Trust (F8)” The research findings have several implications for decision-makers, and practitioners, providing insights into how digitalization in the banking sector can help in designing resilient supply chains in the e-commerce sector.

Legal Aspects of “White-Label” Banking in the European, Polish and German Law

Offering “White-label” products and services is a well-developed business sector in the European market. At present, this market concept is also increasingly being applied to financial services, as part of a bank–FinTech cooperation. A question arises, however, as to the proper place for such models within the complex system of European financial law. This article reviews the “White-label” frameworks currently operating in the banking sector and the corresponding regulations of the European Union law, based on their application in German and Polish legal system. Purposive, grammatical, and comparative law methods were used to study the content of legal acts. As a result, the principles of two primary models of White-label banking were established. The first model is based on a bank acting only as an outsourcing service provider. In the second model, a bank also operates on the basis of a license it was granted. Both models have a common legal origin in European Union law, but local variations exist depending on the legal system of a given Member State.
