Plant. 88: 509-521.Tbis review deals witb recent findings in tbe purification and cbaracterization of dibydrofolate reductase (DHFR) and tbymidyiate syntbase (TS) in plants. The few enzymes purified, whicb differ remarkably in regard to their structure, kinetic and molecular properties and subcellular location are described. The response of DHFRs to amifolic agents and tbe analysis of resistance mecbanisms in isolated cell lines is also reported. Problems opened by recent studies of tbe enzymes isolated from plants are outlined
