Abstract: This paper addresses the challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil, questioning the strategies and the dilemmas shown by teacher-researchers in Physical Education in tackling Covid-19 (SARS-CoV2). “…Therefore, a platform aggregating DERs can enable teachers to quickly locate and use available resources, thereby driving their efforts to other aspects of the pedagogical process rather than producing materials from scratch. The literature indeed points out the desire of teachers to share and plan classes in a collective way 8 , especially when it involves integrating technology into the pedagogical practice, and this move does not necessarily relate to professional experience.…”

“…In Physical Education, recent studies point out the dialogue of this area with media and technology in terms of their integration into curricula 4,5 , the different language uses through skills prescribed by the Brazilian National Common Curriculum Base, BNCC (http://basena cionalcomum.mec.gov.br/) 6 , and the teaching approach linked to the media-education theory 7 . However, to accomplish their role when used by teachers, DERs should allow for different ways of teaching and learning, besides bringing students closer to the taught contents and contributing to the development of competencies and skills 11 .…”

“…From our experience, professional development should be collaboratively built so teachers can understand and use digital technology. Considering the recent COVID-19 pandemic situation, when teachers compulsively used digital technology to teach (Silva et al, 2021;Leite et al, 2022), improving our way of promoting continuing Physical Education teacher education becomes more important. We hope the next steps after the pandemic draw more attention to how teachers are involved or mobilized to use technology than just offering technology devices to them.…”

“…The white population is not the majority in Brazil but is the majority in private schools and carried on with schooling uninterrupted. The systemic social injustices that underlie Brazil's infrastructure became even more evident with the implications of covid-19 in the delivery of schooling, which demanded the emergency use of digital information and communication technologies (DICT) and interactive devices in all curriculum subject areas, including Physical Education (SILVA et al, 2021).…”

“…How could we advise students to attend hybrid (in loco and remote classrooms) practicums without any risks to their health? Political guidelines and pedagogical decisions regarding remote teaching took a long time to converge (SILVA et al, 2021). Besides, supervising teachers 3 were at risk as well as working under pressure and unsafe conditions at schools.…”
