Dimension-5CP-odd operators: QCD mixing and renormalization

Abstract: We study the off-shell mixing and renormalization of flavor-diagonal dimension-5 Tand P-odd operators involving quarks, gluons, and photons, including quark electric dipole and chromo-electric dipole operators. We present the renormalization matrix to one-loop in the MS scheme. We also provide a definition of the quark chromo-electric dipole operator in a regularization-independent momentum-subtraction scheme suitable for non-perturbative lattice calculations and present the matching coefficients with the MS s… Show more

“…Unfortunately no lattice-QCD calculations exist for the qCEDM contributions (see ref. [38] for preliminary steps towards such a calculation). Instead, the most-used results are obtained with QCD sum rules [57][58][59][60] which are consistent with a chiral perturbation theory (χPT) calculation combined with naive dimensional analysis (NDA) [61].…”

“…The renormalization of the cEDM operator is studied both in one-loop perturbation theory with Twisted-mass fermions [38], and in nonperturbative RI-SMOM scheme [39]. The most challenging outcome is the divergent mixing with lower-dimensional operators: in particular the 1/a 2 mixing with the pseudoscalar quark bilinear operator:…”
