“…The residual of the fit of the low pressure spectrum exhibits the greatest noise in the regions where the absorption is changing most rapidly with wavenumber, a behavior characteristic of noise that is dominated by the wavenumber jitter of the laser as it scans. This level of noise is modeled well by assuming a wavenumber jitter of about 10 MHz, which is also the limit of the accuracy of our wavenumber measurements [31]. The high pressure spectrum has a residual that seems to be a combination of intensity fluctuation of the laser and a small systematic discrepancy that may be due to model errors incurred by assuming a Voigt profile.…”

“…In the course of recent work on HCCD [9] we have identified a number of weak lines which prove to be due to the 2m 1 bands of H 13 C 12 CD and H 12 C 13 CD at natural abundance of 13 C. We report here the rotational analysis of those bands. In doing so, we are able to report for the first time the ground state rotational constants for those molecules; this information allows the retrieval of values of the rotational and centrifugal distortion constants for the m 3 and m 5 fundamentals by simultaneously refitting the data of Ghersetti et al…”
