One method employs ferrocyanide as precipitant and ferrous iron as an indicator and the other, based on the work of Cone and Cady (4) supplemented by that of Kolthoff (6), utilizes the ferricyanide-ferrocyanide oxidation-reduction system in equilibrium with precipitated zinc potassium ferrocyanide, using diphenylamine or diphenylbenzidine as indicator. With the latter method as a basis the experimental work for the development of a procedure suitable for the analysis of all types of rubber compounds was undertaken.…”
