Diploendozoochory in Neotropical fish makes seed germination unlikely

Abstract: Diploendozoochory is the seeds’ dispersion ingested by two or more animal species in sequence. This mechanism does not occur among the fish species we studied relative to dispersal of seeds because they were destroyed when passing through the predator fish. Our study is the first about diploendozoochory among tropical fishes. Abstract in Spanish is available with online material.
