Abstract:To establish the existence of dipole glass in the chromium-substituted bismuth pyrostannate solid solutions, the frequency and temperature dependences of the permittivity have been measured in the temperature range of 300-750 K. The field and dynamic dependences of polarization in the temperature range of 80-550 K have been determined. Using the Raman scattering spectra, the absence of inversion center has been established. The maximum of electrical resistance has been found in the vicinity of the dipole momen… Show more

“…In the vicinity of phase transitions, the system reveals large fluctuations of the order parameter. Phase transitions are realized in magnetic [1][2][3], crystalline [4][5][6] and dielectric [7][8][9] systems. In this temperature range, the system becomes unstable and nonequilibrium effects appear.…”
Relaxation phenomena are studied in LuxMn1-xS solid solution using ultrasound in the temperature range of 80-500 K. The relaxation time of the ultrasound attenuation coefficient and relaxation maximum are determined. The dependencies of the attenuation coefficient of ultrasound on frequency and intensity are found. The current induced by ultrasound is determined.

“…The relationship of magnetic and electrical properties is an important factor for creating electronic devices that operate on new principles and open new directions, such as spintronics [1][2][3] and new materials of multiferroics [4][5][6][7][8][9].…”
The results of measurements of electrical resistivity without a field and in magnetic field of 0.8 T in the temperature range 100 K < T < 450 K for compositionYbxMn1-xS with x = 0.05, 0.1 are presented. For the x = 0.05 the gigantic magnetoresistive effect at room temperature is found.
“…Substitution can lead to distortion of the crystal structure and a shift of phase transitions. For example, heterovalent substitution of Bi3 + and Sn4 + ions in Bi2Sn2O7 leads to a changing of the of the α → β transition temperature [12].…”
The effect of non-stoichiometric substitution of chromium ions on the conductivity of bismuth stannates was studied. The measurement of the current-voltage characteristic in the temperature range 300-800 K and electric fields from -800 to 800 V/cm was carried out. A change of the conductivity type from hopping to tunnel-emission in the structural phase transition region is established. The influence of the concentration of the substituting ion on the change of the conductivity type was determined.
