Abstract:Iterative methods are widely used in probabilistic model checking to compute quantitative reachability values. Redundant computation is a significant drawback of iterative methods that affects the performance of probabilistic model checking. In this paper we propose a new approach to avoid redundant computations for reachability analysis of discrete-time Markov processes. Redundant computations can be avoided by considering transitions with Dirac distributions. If two states of a Markov chain are connected wit… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
