Abstract:Per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are emerging contaminants with widespread usage and remarkable environmental stability. The available optical sensing methods typically exploit the hydrophobic and oleophobic properties of PFAS to induce the aggregation of other substances and achieve indirect detection of PFAS. In this paper, we directly measure the surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectra of PFAS themselves based on microstructured optical fibers decorated with β-cyclodextrin and silver nanop… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
