Abstract:A new approach has been proposed for synthesizing porphyrins with phosphoryl substituents by Co‐and Mn‐catalyzed C−H‐functionalization. The paper shows the effect of the solvent, oxidizer, and catalyst, porphyrin, and phosphite nature on the yield and composition of reaction products. It is shown that cobalt porphyrins can interact with phosphites in the absence of a catalyst, forming the products of axial binding to the metal cation. The reaction mechanism has been proposed.
